TANDOORI MOMO


                           Ingredients

  • Shredded chicken tikka- 200gm
  • Refined flour- 2cups
  • Salt
  • Oil- 1tbsp + for greasing
  • Hung yogurt- 1/4 cup
  • Ginger-garlic- 2tsp
  • Lemon juice- 1tbsp
  • Red chilli powder- 1tsp
  • Garam masala powder- 1/2tsp
  • Mustard oil- 1tbsp
  • Green capsicum- 1(cut into cubes)
  • Iceberg lettuce leaves- 2-3
  • Lollo rosso lettuce leaves- 1-2
                           Procedure
  1. Warm some water in a deep non-stick pan
  2. Take flour in a bowl. Add salt, oil and warm water. Mix and knead into a semi soft dough. Cover with a damp muslin cloth and set aside for 10-15 minutes
  3. Place a steamer on the top and bring the water to boil
  4. Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll into thin sheats and cut into roindels using a medium sized cookie cutter
  5. Put some chicken tikki in the centre and give the shape of momo
  6. Line the steamer with parchment paper, grease with oil and make small holes with toothpick. Place momos and steam it for 5-8 minutes. Place on a plate and cool
  7. Preheat oven to 200°C
  8. Take hung yogurt in a bowl, add ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice,  salt, chilli powder, garam masala powder, mustard oil and mix well
  9. Add the steamed momos to the marinade and lightly mix. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes
  10. Insert a green capsicum cube, 1 marinated momo and one onion cube alternatively in the skewers until all the ingredients are used up
  11. Line a baking tray with an aluminium foil, grease with oil and place the skewers in the lined tray
  12. Put the tray in the pre heated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes
  13. Line a serving tray with iceberg lettuce and lollo rosso lettuce and serve the momos on it.
